Entrance exams for study abroad

This video covers all entrance exams required to be taken for admission to Universities. Firstly about the English Language Proficiency Test i.e. IELTS and TOEFL. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) & TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) are the two widely accepted language test across countries, universities, and employers. This video gives a basic idea about the test, the paper pattern, the modules, the fees, the duration & scoring, mode of registrations etc required for the above test. SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is required to be taken by students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in USA and Canada. GRE ( Graduate Record Examination) is required for admissions into a Masters / Ph.D. program in fields other than management.


GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is required for admission into an MBA program. Detailed information about the entrance exams (like the website, validity of scores, duration of the test, registration, fees, etc) both at the undergraduate and graduate levels are given through this video. They are mandatory tests for universities in the USA. SAT, GRE, GMAT has two components in the test -they assess the student’s skills for Verbal and Quantitative. These exams are conducted all over the world at various test centers and the scores are valid for five years.



IELTS and TOEFL are English proficiency test, the asses the student’s proficiency in Reading, Writing, speaking and listening. It is a compulsory exam for international students irrespective of the level of education they are planning to study in. The IELTS and TOEFL test are conducted at various centers in most of the countries on a preset timetable.
